I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose- August, Day 7

Hey everyone!
Back today with another card to share using Tsunami Rose Designs Sketch # 6
{Please keep an eye out for the video coming soon to see the sketch!}

I used exclusive Printable paper that you can only get by purchasing this months sketches from Daisy's Vintage Zibbet shop. You actually get 2 papers, along with the entire months worth of sketches in an easy to print file.

For the sentiment, I used an itty bitty stamp by Unity.
The paper that the sentiment is stamped on is also from Daisy's shop. It's actually a journaling card that I cut into a smaller card. You can purchase the set of journaling cards HERE.

I used some bling from Michael's & some Making Memories rosette trim.
Behind the rosette trim is a piece of creme lace from Creating is Fun.

The banners on the side were cut out by hand using Prima Almanac paper. I outlined some of the banners with a brown marker to give a little contrast. :)

If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to see them!

Name Sign/Altered Wooden Plaque

Hey guys!
I'm back with a little project to share.

This sign has been sitting in my craft area for over a month, painted but not decorated.
I finally decided that I was going to decorate it and I'm super happy with how it turned out!

I'm going to use this for my Youtube videos & to set on the table at craft fairs. And to hang in my craft room when not in use. ;)

I got the wooden sign at Michaels for a few bucks in the unfinished wood section then painted & crackled it.

I used a mix of different flowers for this projects, but most are from Wild Orchid Crafts except the black (I am Roses) and the blue ones are from Prima (Fairy Belle collection)

{The metal flowers are from Michaels}

The black letters are grunge letters from Tim Holtz; I just painted them black and called it good! I love the mis-matched look to it.

The clock & butterfly are cut out from Prima Almanac, as well as the hidden paper behind the flowers.

I added some Tim Holtz filmstrip ribbon & a number plate thing for a finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed looking at this! Stay tuned for a video soon.

ANOTHER Altered Letter "A"

Hello everyone!
I just finished up an altered wooden letter for my friend Angela.
I decided to do a little stitching on the paper.
And NO, I wasn't trying to make it straight.
I never would've attempted to sew on paper if I wanted it straight.
I'm not a sewer by any means & am still getting used to my "Pixie" sewing machine. Lol!

Here it is!

The paper I used to cover the letter is from My Mind's Eye "Oooh La La"- Over the Top (discontinued)
All the yellow flowers are I am Roses, and the white flowres & cream rosebud are from Wild Orchid crafts.
 I sprayed them all with Perfect Pearls mist in Perfect Pearl.
The silver filigree corner is from Wild Orchid Crafts & the bling is Recollections.

I made a cute little bow out of muslin for an extra touch. ;)

Let me know what you think!

Secret Keepsake Box

I have been DYING to make one of these for the longest time!
I saw a few on Youtube from some talented ladies (Links at the bottom of the post) so I decided to make one for myself!
I will make a video eventually, but here's some pictures in the meantime:

I used papers from a few different collections.
I mainly used A Ladies' Diary by Graphic 45, but also used Prima Almanac (stamps on front) and Nature Garden (inside liner for bottom)

The cream trim & black lace inside is from Creating is Fun.
{SALE!! 25% off all orders with code: summer25}

All the metal embellishments are Tim Holtz. My current favorite is the wing! I think I've used it on all of my projects ever since I got the pack. Lol!

All the flowers (aside from the big newsprint one, Prima) are from I am Roses.
The dress form stamp is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found "Blush" set

I loved making this!! Might do another one in the near future.

Here's links to the Youtube vids that inspired me!

Original tutorial (I think!)

Thanks for checking out my project, I'll be back with another one soon!

Time flies! {An altered letter}

Geez, it's been a while since I blogged!
I have been working on projects. Too many.
I have about 3 started, but unfinished.

I have some pictures to share of an altered letter I made for a friend.
And a video!!
I used a lit of Tim Holtz & a lot of I am Roses.
My two favorites.
I kinda went a little crazy with my perfect pearls mist, but that's okay.
Who doesn't love a little (or a lot) of glitter?

Enjoy!

I had a lot of fun making this. :)
My friend liked it, so that's what counts!

Here's a video going over what I did
{Sorry for the glare!}

I"m super excited for my next project that I'm sharing.. so keep an eye out for it!

My card:

I used the Vintage Mason Jar paper in Teal.
This is one of my favorite colors & I'm so glad Daisy offered the paper in this color because it is sooo adorable.
I immediately thought "wedding" when I saw my completed card. ;)
This was a super easy sketch for me to do because I knew I as going to use buttons and.or flowers for the circles. (I ended up using buttons.)
I used my Martha Stewart edge punch again at the bottom of the paper and added lace from Creating is Fun underneath.
The plain buttons came from Michael's in their value bins & the pearl cluster buttons are from Joann's
I also used flat-back pearls & seam binding from my stash.
The sentiment is one that I typed up in Word & printed out.

I love this card & Daisy makes it so easy with her fabulous sketches & papers!

Please make sure to comment one everyone's blog a chance to enter!!
